A couple of weeks ago my aunt Carol called and asked if I would go overnight to Kansas City with her. She doesn't drive on the highway (as in never) and she wanted to go visit her sister and get some highway driving practice. So Josh and I decided for me to go ahead and go.
We left on Friday morning and came back Saturday afternoon. It was such a fun trip. We went to see the Titanic exhibit. It was one of THE COOLEST THINGS I have ever seen. It was fantastic. I am such a history nerd. I enjoyed so much we spent almost 3 hours in the exhibit it was HUGE and I probably could have stayed longer. Sadly because the items are in such bad condition and being preserved and special lighting and humidity chambers they would allow picture taking. I was so sad. I saw so many cool things.
Here are a few pictures of pictures they have hanging on the wall before you go into the exhibit.
The history and the stories. It was wonderful. One of the coolest things (in my opinion) they do to make it more real is... at the beginning of the exhibit you get a "boarding pass" and it has the name of a person that was on the ship and their history and their details. At the end of the exhibit there is a list on the wall of the survivors and those that were lost. You find out if you survived or were lost.
Truly an amazing exhibit.

A new Cousin...
My small people got a new cousin! Josh's sister had baby Eli James Michael Hungate. He was born on the 26th! He is awfully cute. The kids were so excited to meet him.
It did take quite awhile for the small guy to get up to the room. We had a lot of sitting around a hospital room. The one of them all laughing together is probably one of my all time favorite photos of them so far.
They were all equally smitten with the little guy as you can tell. It was fun getting to see them so excited about a little one.
So congratulations to my sister-in-law and brother-in-law and big brother Ian on the newest addition!

Purple!
This picture makes me soooo happy!
What is it you ask? Those are the walls in my daughter's room. Leanna chose a beautiful light purple and a gorgeous dark purple for room. That white wall you see there will be dark purple the next photo I show.
It seems so silly now but I was crying painting those walls. I am so thankful for this house. So many things God lined up for us. Can't even begin to explain it. I am so excited to make my children rooms. I never got to set up a nursery for any of my babies really. Leanna we did a room but she never even slept in it. I lost my job and then we filed for bankruptcy and then it was gone. Hudson we were living in my parent's house in one room and with Nolan we had the mobile home but there wasn't any money or space really. We did get new bedding for each new small person and we fixed up there space with fun things but it was never really THEIR room.
I love that Leanna and I took a special trip to pick out paint colors and that she is so excited too.
Again so thankful. More than I can even say.

The day I was "The Best Mom Ever"
It doesn't happen often... but every so often the skies part and the sun shines down and a rainbow of unicorn sparkles appear and I am "the best mom ever". I love hearing those words.
Today provided me with the opportunity to just hang out.
First Leanna and I scurried out of the house this morning to FINALLY buy her paint. It was great. She ended up choosing purple! What a great choice.
Then we headed home to grab the boys and let Josh head out for a tux fitting and lunch with his best friend and other groomsmen. So I snagged my boys and the 4 of us headed out for a delicious lunch at IHOP. No pictures sadly but it was fun and everyone behaved so awesomely.
All of a sudden on the way home I decided to detour to the park. It was such a beautiful day! We had a great time!
And then we ended our day with a trip to Lowe's, purchasing some items for the new house and we decided to head to the new house to work on a few things.
It really was a GREAT day. I am beat.

Doctor Follow Up...
So my thyroid is jacked and I am waiting on blood work up for final answers but apparently I am severely anemic again (like iron injections may be necessary again anemic) as well...
Yep that pretty much answers my questions...
Now to work on fixing it.
On happier notes. Cute pictures of the girl coming soon. Super cute play pictures in fact. Funny Hudson anecdotes and a cute picture or two of Nolan. Well because I can.
Word. I'm tired ya'll. Night.

Blah...
I have been lacking serious amounts of motivation. SERIOUS. Like I am going to see the doctor about it tomorrow. Cause dude this is some serious blah going on. Not generally my typical attitude. Usually I can gun up some gusto and get it going... here lately? Not even a little bit. I am tired (some from lack of sleep for sure but most is also from lack of activity as well), I am fat (seems no matter the diet or the exercise the numbers stay the same or I lose a little and then gain it back) and I am grumpy. Like I said I am not super sure what is going on.
Blah... yep just Blah....

Back to the Gym
I have given myself a lot of leeway in teh working out department lately. It is amazing I am not back up MAJORLY! So I am back. If it kills me I am back again!
So last night (3-1-12 for records sake) I did two miles on the tread. While my first did have a lengthy warm up walk at a ridiculous incline my first mile time was UGLY.
The second wasn't AWFUL considering it has been almost two months since I worked out...
I have met some pretty big goals in my weight loss already. We are taking a mini vacation to Minnesota this summer (a childhood friend is getting married) and so the first goal is 20 more pounds by June.
The big goal? Josh's best friend (of forever and ever) is getting married in September and of course Josh is the best man and I would like to look fabulous on his arm if nothing else ;). So 30 more by my birthday August 31st. That will be a total of 50 pounds by the wedding. Here go again....
